Well my parents took me out as a belated birthday present to the Brazilian Grille. Glen M's Yelp review at the top of the page is hilarious and accurate. Meat on swords, delicious Brazilian side dishes, yum.
After dinner I got to hear about the "Mad Scientist" my maternal grandfather used to work for. "Mad" was an early developer of plastic bottles and my grandfather's job was to make molds for gobs of liquid plastic to be blown into.
My maternal grandfather's proudest professional work was creating a mold for an enema bottle.
In fact, he enthused about it on one of his first meetings with my paternal grandfather.
It is fully in keeping with the character of both men that my maternal grandfather would see this as an appropriate topic of conversation meeting his future in-laws and my paternal grandfather would suppose if there was money in it, it was all good.
