Food Stuff

At the last minute,
kathygnome expressed a preference for something that could be spread on bread so I hunted up this recipe for something that could be spread on bread (chicken, tortilla chips, etc. ).

It turned out to be really amazing, sort of a jalepeno cilantro pesto, but much much better than those flavors would imply. I could take or leave hot peppers or cilantro, but  I loved this spread. It was spicy and "green" tasting and very addictive. I do recommend wearing latex gloves for cutting up all the peppers though, I didn't and my hands were burning hours later.

There is something "not quite right" about the lime and pepper oven fries. The lime flavor was...eh. They were enjoyable enough, but I don't think I'd make them again.

Ditto for the zucchini/avocado salad. Tasty and green, but not probably not something I'd make again.

The jalepeno cilantro stuff was absolutely a hit though.
kathygnome suggested we put some on grilled shrimp and we did and yum. I really think this is going to be a future classic in the gnome/nish household.
