Went to my niece's Sweet 16 birthday party last night. Her parents (all four of them plus a grandma, I guess) rented out the Tualatin Senior Center and had tables, food, dance floor, and a DJ and everything. It was surprisingly fun, and I danced a lot and did karaoke. No embarassment! I can dance and feel totally fine with anything, including Thriller-moves and the running man. All as a joke of course.

Today I realized "Hey, Kylie is a sixteen year old. Of course she has a Myspace account". So I looked up her name and lo and behold: a behemoth of a pink page with a ton of code so she can have scrolling pictures of Nicole Kidman and Law and Order: SVU actresses. Of course, being sixteen, she also has a shitload of quizzes up. Turns out that she *has* been dating, things are going well, and she's never been drunk or done drugs. No one else in Kylie's family is very likely to see that page, and it's mostly her friends, so I think she's being pretty damn honest. I want to tell her parents that I know for a fact that she's a good girl, but it doesn't seem right. I also feel a bit weird about messaging her, but oh well.

My other niece, Melinda, is six years old and hates my guts. Also, babies do not like me.

Today some coworkers were having a barbeque but I have a bunch of homework. Good times.
