Dear writer,
First off: thank you very much for writing for me! I'm fairly easy to please, especially if you love romcoms and slow burn UvU
General squicks I have include cheating/NTR/infidelity, detailed mpreg (I'm fine with the babies ever after aspect of it, but let's not think too deeply about it, please TvT), dubcon/noncon/rape, and character death (though exceptions to the rule can be made under... compelling circumstances for plot reasons, but I tend to be very picky about this, as a warning). If you want a more general list of my pet peeves, you can find them here, and this list and this thread gets a bit into what I'm into at the moment.
Here are some prompts for your consideration:
MOVIE AUs:
I have some East Asian movies that have stayed with me all these years and I will never stop wanting AUs for them in my fandoms. Tale of Two Sisters, The Banquet/Legend of the Black Scorpion, Curse of the Golden Flower, Battle Royale and Confessions/Kokuhaku are some of the darker ones, but I also really enjoy Studio Ghibli movies, stuff by Makoto Shinkai (Your Name, 5 CM Per Second, Children who Chase Lost Voices, etc.), Girl Who Leapt Through Time, and some slice of life/coming of age flicks like the Honey and Clover film version.
Alternatively, I also really, REALLY love romcom flicks, and if you don't dig any of the movies listed above I would also really love any of the ff AUs:
- While you were sleeping
- You've got mail
- Notting hill
- When Harry met Sally
- Breakfast at Tiffany's
- 27 dresses
- My best friend's wedding
- Heartbeats
- The princess bride
- Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind
- Roman holiday
- Groundhog day
- She's the Man
- Parent trap (DOES IT COUNT AS ROMCOM, IDK)
Please note that the ships don't necessarily have to be end game for the horror/drama films. Additionally, the plot doesn't necessarily have to stay faithful to the movie, just as long as the general premise is the same.
GAMING TROPES:
I'm a huge fan of RPGs and some horror games, so an AU inspired by any of these games would be fun to read:
- Fire Emblem
- Golden Sun
- Professor Layton
- Ace Attorney
- Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons
- Undertale
- Amnesia: Dark Descent
- Ib
- Witch's House
- Until Dawn
- Tokimeki Memorial
- Brave Story

GENERAL TROPES:
ALTERNATIVELY: here are some other tropes/ideas to get the ball rolling:
- Character A meeting B at a group date in uni. Or at a matchmaking service/omiai-esque meeting.
- Adolescent fumbling and lots of pining, maybe with both of them in the same club or as childhood friends or whatever
- WEDDING FIC, BYE
- awkward meet the parents. Or the siblings. Bonus points if the dog/cat hates Character A
- any kind of domestic fic!!!!! Bonus points for Babies Ever After
- double dates/fake dates/pretending NOT to be dating
- character A gets trapped in a parallel universe where he and character B are in an established relationship (or otherwise)
- handsome/lovely adversary ("She's gorgeous, I hate her") with a pinch of enemies to lovers
- famous/non-famous AU with A as a manager to the love interest B. Or something completely different, haha.
- rivalry AUs! I love rivalry and competition!!! this might also count as enemies/rivals to friends to lovers
- genderbend/rule 63/woke up as a girl
- ABO!!!!!!!! but I love trope subversions more than the usual weepy/desperate omega begging for the possessive alpha's knot...
OT3-SPECIFIC PROMPTS
I'm inordinately fond of jinminkook, so if you want to explore that, feel free to do so ♥
1. 5 times Jimin and Jungkook competed with each other for Seokjin. Did they do it over video games??? Food trips??? Karaoke high scores??? Number of push-ups at the gym??? Please make me laugh and cry!
Bonus points: if they are childhood friends
Extra bonus points: if Seokjin teaches them that sharing is caring, in all senses of the word
2. Something based on Halsey's Colors MV concept, though not necessarily fitting into the age gap aspect of it. Here's a link to the MV (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGulAZnnTKA) but if it squicks you out, for trope purposes what I want is Character A hanging out with Character B for 'group dates' with Character C and Seokjin, and Character A and B look like a picture-perfect couple on paper but Character A is secretly pining after Seokjin.
I'm most partial to Character A and B being Jungkook and Jimin (whichever role they fit in is up to you, as long as the fake!jikook is still there), but I'm also open to any kind of matchup, as long as Yoongi's still there.
Please take note of my NOTPs though ;^; I'm sorry for being picky...
BTS-SPECIFIC SQUICKS:
In addition, here's a quick laundry list of things I'd rather not read in fic:
1. Reference to mom/dad jokes (or mom/son)
2. Nice Guy Without a Flaw Seokjin (unless this is the love interest being deliberately blinded by love talking)
3. Angst for the sake of angst. Or just weepy, insecure doormat Seokjin in general
4. Dead!Seokjin or Terminally Ill!Seokjin. N o p e.
