today i worked for 10 almost 11 hrs. but it was worth it i had a great time hiking or should i say tromping through the fakahatchee swamp... i was extremely worried before hand about water moccasins and alligators but once we got out there it wasn't bad at all except for the enormous amounts of poison ivy all around us. we stopped at oasis visitors center prior to swamp tromping and it freaked lindzee and i out because there were alligators everywhere... and i mean big alligators... but like i said once we got knee-high then mid-thigh high and finally pretty close to um... being uncomfortable... and hadn't seen any alligators or even snakes i was a little relieved... i have to admit that once we started hiking through the dry portions of the swamp i was extremely worried about snakes again but whatever needless to say we all survived even though i wish some that didn't come, came to get lost in the swamp forever along with a few others...
