(Erm... I have no idea how I get titles anymore... oops?)
Blood Promise, True Blood (or Sookie books, preferably)- Sookie/Pam- "i'll do anything you want, Pam, if you'll just help me out."
"I'll do anything you want, Pam, if you'll just help me out."
That was the moment everything went wrong. Of course, I should have expected what happened next, after all, this was Pam. It seemed my reward, as it were, was a roll of those unusally gentle blue eyes and possibly the softest snark Pam had ever used in her… life. If you can call a Vampire alive anyway.
“Oh, so the pretty little princess needs help?”
A pause, then a second, quieter agreement.
“Fine.”
She seemed surprisingly willing to do as I asked, I guess the promise of something, of anything she wanted, was enough to cause her to co-operate.
She was quick to return having done as I asked of her, scarily fast if I’m completely honest. There was a sense of mystery, teasing and mysterious mischief, in the way she spoke next.
“Now, to our agreement…”
“Yes?”
If I sounded hesitant it was only for fear of what she would ask of me now.
“Just one thing…”
For a vampire, Pam could be surprisingly sweet at times and the next words were enough to bring tears to my eyes.
“Be happy…”
That was it? Surely the woman… surely she wanted something more? For the time being I can pretend to be happy, I can do that but… she wanted something more. She was just too shy to say a word.
“Pam…”
“Sookie?”
“Isn’t there something… else?”
“No.”
A pause.
“I could never force you to do anything…”
Oh. Well, that was… nice. I guess.
She seemed to be struggling not to say anything more and, sadly, she managed to silence herself.
I admit I was hesitant to do what I did next, I kissed her. Softly. There was no sign she had liked it for a while, then she broke away, her eyes strangely misty.
“Sookie…”
“I want to.”
That was all it took, the dam of self-control seemed to break and Pam all but threw herself forwards, each kiss slightly more determined and passionate than the next.
Awwwh, yay! Happy prompters make me very bouncy. :) YAAAY.
Pam is rediculously sweet sometimes, at least in Sookie-canon, TB-canon not so much. Although I do love Kristin Bauer cause... good god can she make me cry for Pam sometimes.

I could learn to like this. One day.
