Well, I did my speech and debate at 9:00 today, vs. Kenny Martinez. I did horribly. The teacher says I did well. Several people say, and I quote, that I "ate Kenny alive." But uh...I still say I did horribly.
On the first question asked, I did a long pause, which pissed me off. But the reason I did that was because the teacher had specifically told us that the questions for each debate were going to be different, and the question that I was asked was the exact same one they had asked first in the debate before mine. So, I got tripped up, wondering if I should mention to Matt (the one moderating) that he was going against Mrs. Mendez's rules.
Kenny was very unprofessional, however. At one point in the debate, he made an implication that America had no allies. When I responded with naming one of our allies, Tony Blair, Kenny responded to that by saying that Tony Blair was his "homie." (sp?) Uhh...right.
Yeah, but despite what everyone's saying about how I did, I'm still pissed off at myself. Ah well.
