Hey everyone, sorry for the lack of real updates. I guess I'm apologizing more to myself than anyone else. I'm pretty sure that you haven't been waving your fists in anger each day that I neglect to post photos. There are so many things that I have been meaning to write about, but my time on LJ has been very limited. I guess I'll start with January 1st and work my way back.
Monday, January 1
I stayed out much later than I had intended on the 31st, so this led to sleeping in until at least 3pm. There's nothing like waking up in the early evening hungry and disoriented. The 1st was my day of reflection. The reflection of my face in the TV screen. Zing!
Tuesday, January 2
Back to work and off to the Onion. If you are able to read locked posts, you'll know what that's all about. If you are unable, I think it's time that you send me a friend request or create an LJ account *coughfriendsfromhomecough*. The rest of the evening was spent happily watching Sister Act with Anya. I don't know why I don't own the Sister Act movies, they are like diamonds hidden in the rough of Whoopi's habit.

Anya and I went to see Giulia and Margo's show at Mo Pitkins. I don't remember what it was called, but it was about embarrassing sex stories. One comedian (Adam Wade), one non-performer (whose name I am forgetting), one musician (Reggie Watts) and the hosts shared some hilarious stories of sexual encounters gone wrong. It was a great show, but it was soon forgotten when Anya and I headed to Rififi to attempt to talk with the manager about something and visit our favorite bartender. I don't want to get into details, but I will say that we unknowingly walked into what I can only assume was an "invite only" get together of our "friends." Either we weren't welcome or they thought that we were ignoring them, because it took at least 20 minutes before anyone even acknowledged our presence. Oh well, I guess this year is going to involve reevaluating relationships.

Already been blogged, again...private. But it involved a triple blind date and a stop at the fancy new comedy club, COMIX.
Friday, January 5
One benefit of working at a Jewish organization is leaving early during winter due to the Sabbath. Right now we are finished at 3pm, so I took advantage of the time and took a trip to the Met Museum with Reggie. Holy crap, that place is immense. We managed to check out some Greco-Roman art, Medieval art and our favorite, Medieval Armor. Somehow we managed to stay until after 7pm. I can't imagine trying to do the whole thing in one day.
Finally, photos!

Unexciting laundry, followed by super-fantastic birthday drinks for the one and only Colleen AF Venable. For a last-minute invite, there wound up being a very nice and extremely fun turnout at Rodeo Bar. We stayed until 2am and were even treated to a special show outside of the bar by a transvestite whose name I didn't catch. My evening continued to be very unexpected and pleasant, but this is no place for that.
Sunday, January 7
Sundays are meant for staying in bed, eating breakfast, watching movies and going right back to sleep.
And that's that! Hopefully I'll find more time to post so that I won't fill up your friend pages with all of this rambling.
P.S. Thank you so much to everyone who has given me advice when it comes to job and school stuff. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. I don't know what I'd do without you guys!
