Growing up too fast....
OK, so I know I'm married, just bought two cars, and live in California of all places... but EVERYONE ELSE is growing up too fast! I just found out that my best friend from high school is not only doing well in rock music (which he lets me know about ever couple of months or so because he's too cool for school to keep better in touch,) but I didn't know he was going to be #1 on TRL yesterday?! I love this kid like a brother. His mother was like my mother, and we acted like little rugrats growing up together in "Pleasantville". Oh, I knew if anyone was going to make the entertainment business behave and become famous it was him... but I just couldn't be happier.
My OTHER best friend got accepted to one of the most elite Theater post-grad programs possible and is on his own way to becoming a great director/producer/manager/historian... really, whatever he wants! I am just so proud of my friends... but I feel like we've gone from high schoolers who were fighting to maintain a perfect reputation while breaking as many rules as possible to ADULTS, MAKING IT IN THE REAL WORLD. Wow...
And on that note, work calls!
