The costume laid out for her was extravagant and expensive, just like everything else in this wedding. He had spared no expense in seeing all dreams made into reality, making this a mishmash of traditions - both future and past. Half-remembered stories had led to a white wedding, with flowers strewn everywhere by the sweet soul who loved them so.
Donning her outfit without help was quite the task, but she refused all aid - working up the nerve to face him. It was strange to be in this position, an honor she had never expected to be bestowed upon her - yet it was, and she had to be perfection. It was what he expected of her.
She took her place in front with no small amount of trepidation, the butterflies in her stomach fluttering madly with nervousness. Warm golden eyes met hers for a moment, stilling the butterflies. When they looked away, the fear left and only an acceptance of his choice remained. Kagome drew one last deep breath before conducting the marriage of Sesshoumaru and Rin.
