Requiem of a Dream
“You forced her to go back again, didn’t you? Kagome knew what would happen if she left again, she wouldn’t have gone back.” Shippou accused. “You selfish bastard. Inuyasha would be ashamed.”
Sesshoumaru didn’t answer. Kagome’s breathing slowed, until it stopped alltogether.
“She is gone?” His voice was indifferent but inside his emotions stirred.
“This is what you wanted isn’t it? Your precious revenge.”
“No longer,” Sesshoumaru was fighting a losing battle within himself. His beast wanted out.
One last look at Kagome’s still form was enough for Sesshoumaru to lose control.
The dog howled and the world stood still.
