Kagome’s eyes were wide while Sango giggled at Sesshomaru’s proud yet still stoic expression upon his face as if he were a pup with his prize. Kikyo had enviously stuck her nose up at the dominant display. The other demons and knowing humans looked at her expectantly. They had told her that the youkai tradition of courting is to impress his female by showing that he was superior to other males. The very large -very dead- stag miniaturized the other beasts brought forward from the hunt.
“I-I recognize your courtship”
She was rewarded with a rare smile of promise.
