Kagome blushed under his scrutinizing gaze. “Seriously, what’s the tradition? Do youkai go on dates?”
“Dates?”
“It’s the human term for courting.”
“Hn… Males search for favorable traits in a potential mate, focusing mainly on having them pupped.”
“There’s no romance involved?” she asked, appalled by his blunt answer. “I’m having trouble believing that you would just seduce a random female for fun.”
“…She chose me,” Sesshoumaru confided.
“What?”
“My intended is…unconventional, but I have accepted her suit.”
