Summary: Kagome ponders mirrors as she gets ready for her date.
Kagome looked into her mirror, wondering how something could make a replica of a persons image. Kagome had never understood mirrors and their strange ways. She also couldn’t understand her long-time, best friend Inuyasha. He was always comparing her to his ex, Kikyo. It made her feel like she was a doppelganger and she didn’t like it.
Kagome couldn’t be bothered with that right now, she had to get ready for her date with Sesshomaru. She was wearing a nice, knee-length, purple dress and a pair of black ballet flats. Glancing outside, she noted the pouring rain and decided she would have to double up on her coats.
She ran over to her open closet door and began to rifle through its’ contents. She squealed excitedly when she found the white trench coat she loved so much and the black raincoat with a hood. She slipped the trench coat on and the raincoat over it before rushing downstairs to grab her purse.
Just as she had grabbed her purse the doorbell rang. Inside she mentally cheered herself on as she opened the door. Sesshomaru stood just outside, drenched in rain and holding a bouquet of flowers.
