Summary: Kagome is starting to feel like a third-wheel around Inuyasha and his new girlfriend.

Since when I am the third-wheel, the extra, the unwanted friend? Me and Inuyasha used to be the best of friends, then he started dating her. His description of her was beautiful; long, flowing, raven hair, big, chocolate brown eyes and an hour-glass figure. At first I thought that this would be good for Inuyasha, since he had foregone dating ever since Kikyo broke his heart. When I met her I was even happier for Inuyasha; she was such a nice person. But soon I realized that I wasn’t wanted around anymore and it hurt to know that.

I politely excused myself and escaped to the kitchen/breakfast nook only to find him, Inuyasha’s girlfriends older roommate.

“Third-wheel?” he asked. I noted the bottle of whiskey beside him.

“Yeah, oh and I’m Kagome,” I say. He stood up and walked over to me, stopping when we were almost touching. He leaned in and placed a sloppy kiss on my lips, informing me that he was drunk.

“Mine’s Sesshomaru,” he said. At that moment Inuyasha walked in, saw us and walked out. I could hear him speaking through the door.

“Oi, Rin, you were right,” he said rather loudly. I could hear Rin chuckling through the door.

Sesshomaru leaned in and kissed me again. I pushed him away and stomped back into the living room.

“You two planned this?” I ask in disbelief.

“Well you were single and so was he and we didn’t want be the only one blissfully in love and-” I cut them off there not wanting to hear the rest.

“You realize he’s drunk r-,” I stop so that I can let out an ear-piercing scream as arms wrap around me.

“I actually wasn’t drunk, Ka-go-me. If you had paid attention to the bottle you’d know that.”
