“The swelling is almost completely gone,” Kagome said. “The doctor also said there is some minor damage that he couldn’t see before because of the swelling, but nothing that probably won’t heal. I just have to keep waiting and see.”
“That’s good. I wish I could have been there with you,” Sesshomaru said.
“Yeah, so do I. When are you coming home?”
Sesshomaru had to fly to America to fix the damage done with his failing company over there. It wasn’t something he was able to fix back at home. “Maybe in a couple of days. I need to be sure that the new management is going to be capable of running this company. And I might have to make a few trips a year back here to make sure everything is running smoothly.” Sesshomaru sighed at the thought. Before, in the past, he wouldn’t have minded, but now, having Kagome in his life, he hated being away from home.
Kagome sighed. “I really miss you.”
“I miss you too. I’m happy to hear the good news of your doctor visit, and I’m glad you called.”
“I’ll let you go. Love you.”
“Love you too.” Sesshomaru hung up the phone.
