Voter Participation
Over the last several weeks, we've seen many positive things in our community: brand new members, fresh stories written for our ongoing challenges, and the progression of many of the storylines that were begun right here in this community! This is all well and good, but I'm concerned by a negative trend, namely voter participation.
In the past, I tried to encourage voting by introducing the awarding of Fourth Place for weeks when we receive fifteen or more ballots. When all our active members chime in, it's actually possible to garner twice that many votes. Yet here we are with another voting extension. I'm even receiving messages from some who want to know if they won... yet they didn't bother to turn in a ballot. It's very disheartening.
For now, I'll just ask that y'all please do your part. Enter the contests. Comment on entries. Vote in the polls. If everyone pitches in, things will continue to run smoothly! ::twinkle::
