A Puppy for Your Thoughts
Sesshomaru walked into the dining room to see Kagome and Gojyo sitting at the table, laughing and eating. Since brining Kagome into his household, Sesshomaru had noticed how much time Kagome and Gojyo spent with each other and how fond his cook had become of her, and he didn’t like it. He was jealous, a feeling he wasn’t used to. Gojyo had been single for too long, and Sesshomaru was worried he might be trying to steal Kagome away from him.
Gojyo could feel the jealousy rolling off of Sesshomaru in waves and shifted, nervously, in his seat. Even though he would love to have Kagome for his own, he would never try and steal a female from Sesshomaru. He valued his life. “Um… I have to go. See you later,” Gojyo said, getting up and leaving.
“Okay,” Kagome replied. “You’re home early.”
“That’s because I have a gift for you,” Sesshomaru replied, producing a Chinese Crested puppy from behind his back and handing it to Kagome.
“This is the puppy I saw at the pet store.”
“Is that what that is? I thought it looked like a hairless rat?” Sesshomaru joked, smiling.
Kagome playfully punched him, giggling. “Thank you.”
