Kagome didn't know what she thought would jump at her from the bushes, but Sesshomaru's mother was definitely not it.
The lady looked regal and cold, and her expression told that she didn't want to be there. She glanced around with indifference, her posture perfect and her lips pursed. Kagome knew that the woman was displeased.
The intimidating demon caught Kagome's stare, and sent her a glare of her own. Kagome stepped back a bit, surprised that the bored beauty could have changed so quickly. It seemed as if she had shed a coat and transformed into a different person.
