Spring was here, the group was on the go again, but every once in a while, Kagome would spot a peculiar looking fir tree that had been…melted…into a stub.
She found the culprit in a clearing, covered in thick white fluff, awkward patches of winter fur sticking out from its coat. White hairs stuck to the now bare branches - a makeshift scratching post. The dog’s large maw was ready to snap the tree, to rid the forest of evidence of its condition, acid pouring from between its ready lips. Kagome barely covered her grin in time.
