Gramps hoped his furtive glances out of the corner of his eye weren't that obvious, but like all things concerning him, that wasn't the case.
“Is there something ye wish to say?”
“What?! Me? No! No...”
Gramps shook his hands vigorously in denial.
Kagome would have smirked at her avidly nervous grandfather if she hadn't felt so confused.
Kaede nodded but had a slight grin as she turned away to stir the soup.
Sesshomaru leaned in, his warm breath tickling her ear with his whispered observation.
“Your elder is smitten.”
Kagome groaned and Sesshomaru smirked for her.
