when did I stop being able to run on 3 hours of sleep?

I finished my Venetian mask painting last night. The masks look kind of terrible. I tried to make it beige but it turned out too flesh toned. I should have gone with grey tones. And it was way hard to get the masks to look smooth so it's kind of really not smooth. However, the glittery paint was a huge success - thank you, Michaels. I'll take a picture of it later. It's hanging above my dresser right now, and it might be crooked. I can't tell, my wall and floor aren't even.

I'm getting coffee to finish this post.
YES! First time I brought a full mug of coffee upstairs without spilling it everywhere.

So, this weekend, I have done fuckall. Friday, did a bit of work, went out with Brenna. Saturday, did a bit of work, went to Courtney's. Yesterday, did no work, went to a Gael Fam potluck at Brendan's (who is still super cute and sweet, by the way, it's a shame he's like 5'6"). His house took in a stray cat! They named her Lily, she's a sweetheart. Usually cats walk into the house have a bit of water then leave, but Lily never left so they named her and keep her fed and healthy.

I got a major headache at the potluck so when I got home, I lay in bed for a while with the lights off, and afterwards I couldn't really do anything studious so I put on Futurama and finished my painting. At least it was somewhat productive. But now I have a paper due on Thursday (I plan to write it today and email it to Julian), and a Roman test, so I have to balance both while finishing The Virginian.

I couldn't really get into reading The Virginian yesterday so I read more of Artemis Fowl (I'm really beginning to like the name Artemis for a boy, despite it being a Godess's name; it might have to do with the fact that I loved Gods Behaving Badly - I kind of want to read it again), and I started Bloodsucking Fiends. I want to buy more Christopher Moore, and I also wish people would read more of his books so that they can realize that they are actually GOOD books, and not just nonsense.

I'm thinking I might be adding Gods Behaving Badly to my favourites list, despite it being a silly comedy novel. I put books on the list that I find creates a real enough world that I can actually miss the characters when I am not reading the book. That's why The Host, The Hitchhiker's Guide and Harry Potter are all on there. I miss the little worlds that were created. Like Ian and Jamie playing bodyguard, or hopping around a universe with no Earth (and enjoying a Pan-Galactic Garble Blaster), or playing Quidditch in the rain. I'm doing it. Gods Behaving Badly is on the list. I miss Apollo being pathetically in love and Artemis apologizing to a tree on behalf of her brother and Athena being so nerdy that nobody can understand what she's saying.

I've got to finish my coffee quickly and jump in the shower. I'm meeting Courtney at 10 to get history clothes (I already purchased my sweater, but we had made plans to meet anyway). Then I am going to chill on campus until 11:30 (for Roman) and read The Virginian. Oh, did I mention it fucking SNOWED overnight!? It was so nice, so springy! Now everything's white again, it's depressing. But it's apparently going to rain tomorrow and melt it all. I hope it doesn't turn to ice. It sucks when the ghetto is covered in ice. I slip and slide all the way to campus. I'm pretty sure I can run and slide and make a few blocks.
