Jennifer hadn't expected to be delivering a baby on her shift--much less two babies--but it had been thrilling and wonderful even with the undercurrent of family tension going that Jennifer hadn't really understood. The mom and the babies were healthy and resting comfortably, and that was the important thing. (Jennifer had her doubts about the father, though, who had nearly worn a hole in the floor with his pacing.)
It wasn't until she had stripped off her gloves and straightened the clinic that she remembered that she was supposed to have met Ronon for their usual sparring lesson after her shift. It was well into the morning, now. Hopefully Ronon wasn't mad that she had been held up. She'd have to go by and explain... after a good long nap. As she left the clinic, she was trying to decide whether she would have a shower before or after her nap, when she saw Ronon lurking in the hallway, making her give a little yelp of surprise. "Ronon," she sputtered, taking a step back and pushing her hair out of her face.
