on a happy note....
I realized looking back at the last several entries that they have been pretty sad and depressing and I want to change that! I recently have been using my livejournal as a place to rant and let out all the bad feelings, but tonight I'm going to talk about Valentine's Day and what a good day I had.
It started off wonderfully at 7:30am when my gorgeous boyfriend called and we exchanged "happy valentine's day" and "I love you's". I was in a chipper mood....my nails were painted red, I was wearing a red shirt, and I had a whole tupperware container full of pink frosted cookies that I labored over until 2:30am. There was love in the air. I left valentines for people in their mailboxes and received many happy faces and hugs. I got through classes. Then I got a package from the gorgeous boyfriend who sent a very thoughtful and meaningful gift and a letter wrapped in silver LOVE wrapping paper. I got to talk to him for a little while, watch Queer Eye Wedding Season marathon, and then went to dinner with 4 good friends. It was lovely and I was feeling loved and in love. I went back to a friend's room and played loaded questions. I really wanted to talk to Adam but it was noisy. I didn't get to talk to him as much as I wanted to and for that I feel bad. I wish he was here so I could just be with him all day but we have to be a bit more creative than that.
I even got to talk to my parents for a while today. Both of my parents teach a class at VCU on Tuesday nights at the same time, and my dad had decorated my mom's classroom for when she came in for class. Who knew my dad was such a romantic? My mom was really happy.
