I got a malamute pup on Saturday.

So my pup is on a totaly different sleeping schedual than I am, so he's awake all night and sleeps for a few hours, then he's awake at 5 again.

I can't get him onto my schedual, and if I try to sleep he attempts to bite me and all the good stuff.

My girlfriend slept over last night, so I couldn't TRY to put him in his crate and ignore the howling.

And he howls and barks at anything now, which I expected, I just don't know how to deal with it at 5AM while everyone ELSE is sleeping. He seems to be mostly howling because I want to sleep and he wants to play.

Also, so far just with me and Tina, but he bites pretty hard, though some of that is his sharp little teeth. I'm just scared he'll start to be more daring and bite my little sister when she wants to play with him when I go to visit my moms house.

Ugh. I know it is beginner stuff, and I've read about it in books, but it seems like a totally different situation when I'm placed in it.

He hates his crate, but that might be because he was shipped in it. I have another one, but it's way bigger and I don't know what he'd do in it. He's fairly house trained, just REAAALLLY hyper when I want to sleep. And he sleeps when I want to play!

crate training, nipping, whining
