Kato eyed the kind strangers who had appeared in our hall. She considered going through her friends list and giving them the fang.

“Can I go off lead?” Kato asked instead

“Sure you can Sweetness” I said “Run free Angel”

“You taste of crisps again” Kato said, and peacefully drifted away.

Java left as she arrived and remained (1) throughout her life, peacefully and without much fuss.  I knew it was time when nothing could give her comfort and her eyes apologised for all this attention she needed. She couldn't sleep or settle. We will miss her but grateful for the 15 years of being blessed with her company ( Read more... )

Baskets.  I am genetically programmed to prefer the hardest, draughtiest floor to sleep on. I’m a collie -  even sleep should be work. Noticed my mat edging towards the blue thing each night and two nights ago my mat was mysteriously in the blue thing. I scowled at it but then found it was quite comfy. This could lose me collie points.

 Middle sized dog smells of happy,  her fur has that  fluffy rained on texture. She hasn't actually woken up properly since we got back, (except to eat) - her adventures will remain her sweet, secret canine memories that are making her smile as she sleeps (and parps).
