Saw an unashamedly art-house movie on Friday night. Funny that it was on in prime time (I guess channel 9 is giving up on trying to compete with Football - and giving a real alternative), but it reminded me why I sometimes don't like art-house flicks

Good memories rule and so do, sometimes, non-Hollywood endings. I think the key to movie-watching is a liberal mix of mainstream and Hollywood, so that you become neither too depressed nor too sacarine.

Non-hollywood endings are necessary to even out the corny, over-done endings that Hollywood is so famous for. I reckon I even prefer the non-Hollywood endings...I like seeing the bad guy win just once in a while ;)

Have seen the clip, I'd say it's more MTV-style than Manga, but clearly that's where the inspiration has come from. Dunno how cool it is though.
