I'm quite looking forward to going back to school tomorrow; it's been an extremely long summer. Studying for NEWTs is certainly something to look forward to, as is seeing my classmates again.
I will miss Mother quite a bit, though. We had a wonderful talk last night, about... everything that's been going on as of late. The Death Eater attacks, my family, talking to people. Love.
She reminded me -- well, I hadn't forgotten, but I had forgotten to believe it -- of a story that a friend told me years ago. I'll spare everyone the details, but the little girl told her family to "let the dove of happiness into your lives". It sounds a bit silly now that I'm older, but I think it has some truth to it. I hope that this year, I'll be able to bring the dove of happiness to everyone that I love. And even more than that, I hope that my friend finds his own dove of happiness.
