Headcanon for Serrure

-He doesn't have any memories. After waking up in the hospital, he was diagnosed with retrograde amnesia involving anything about his person and his life before whatever traumatic event caused the amnesia.

-He remembers all the basic life skills and is a highly intelligent kid. After he recovered for a week, he was placed with a foster family and promptly ran away because school took up too much of his time and he didn't like having to follow his foster family's house rules. He was also generally uncomfortable with casual physical interaction and their attempts at kindness towards him.

-Serrure spent about a solid month being homeless and is a bit of a movie buff because most of his afternoons and evenings during that month were spent in movie theaters to keep warm and away from the police.

-After meeting Luc, Serrure picked up quick on his card skills and pickpocketing/shoplifting knowledge. He is quite good and not only that, enjoys it. Things are much more valuable to a person when they've earned them. And by earned he means stealing.

-When he started having horrible nightmares, Serrure brushed them off. When the nightmares became very detailed, specific and recurring, he began to look up events in the past that corresponded. When they fit with the nightmares, though left out much of the intimate detail the dreams provided, Serrure stopped looking into them. Though he still keeps tabs on super groups and villains, especially the ones that recur in his nightmares.

-He alternates between very deep denial of those nightmares and trying to be open and accept the possibility that he's been reincarnated to suffer for what he's potentially done in the past. The dichotomy is difficult to keep up and often leads to mood swings.

-Serrure is a pretty big fan of the X-men, Spider-man and Captain America. Doom scares the beejesus out of him due to what he's seen in his nightmares. He pretends Thor does not exist.

-Deep down, Serrure knows that not everyone in the Port is speaking French but he will dodge the subject like a Matrix bullet-time sequence if he's faced with it. No one back home in Paris questioned him on his multilingual abilities.

-He's never really been outside of Paris, but the idea of being utterly unable to leave a confined area drives him a little up the wall. When he really thinks about it, the lack of freedom is almost choking. This is one of the reasons he left the foster family.
