Well, everyone has been talking about the meet-up, so I suppose I should as well?
I was just so very, very tired last night after everything, that I came home and went straight to bed! I didn't even take off my shoes! ( Of course Mama got very upset because I got dirt in my bed-- but at least it distracted from my other stains... D: ).
Oh well.
I really, actually enjoyed myself...I was very nervous to be meeting up with so many people in such a large group, but I feel that after a little while, I really was having a good time.
There are so many things that happened! I just don't know where to start!
First, Georg's piano playing was beautiful. His lessons must really be paying off. If we had the money (or I had the talent), I would take piano lessons as well-- but of course I would never be as good as Georg.
And Anna's singing was amazing. I was very moved by her piece! Her voice blended so well with Georg's piano playing...they must have practiced a lot to make it so perfect like that :)
The grapes were interesting. Melchior caught a lot in his mouth-- he is very co-ordinated. He tried to get me to try too, but I only succeeded in getting hit in the forehead and the eye by grapes D:
Oh well! It was all in good fun, right? :)
I did bring Mama's lemon juice, though I'm afraid we ran out rather quickly. I didn't expect it to be so hot and then so many of us! Oh well, while it was there, it tasted wonderful with Melchior's eclairs :)
And! Hanschen and Ernst finally opened up to us all about their relationship. I remember Papa reading me scripture about how men should not lie with men...but if Hanschen and Ernst are happy together, then why shouldn't they be allowed to experience such happiness? D:
I hope they are happy. They seem very much like it :)
Some other silly things happened-- like Melchior and Ilse actually convincing me to play pirates with them! We tried to make paper hats, but mine only ended up smushed up after I fell from that tree... ):
It was a short fall-- and I only scraped my knee and palms. I think I will be perfectly fine :)
Though Mama panicked a little and immediately put alcohol on the cut, which stung very badly... D:
Oh well. I was very happy with yesterday...Melchior walked me and Wendla home. We had a lovely discussion too! Telling Wendla about our alternate lifestyle essays...though Melchior, of course, had more information on his bohemians than my Africans D:
Oh goodness!
And I almost forgot the most thrilling part!
I got to play chess with Martha, which was just wonderful. And-- I won O:
It was very surprising. I practiced a few times with Mama before I left the house yesterday morning, but when I was playing Martha-- it was a very close game! I certainly thought she was going to win for the majority of the time-- it just came as what to do.
I don't think I will be as lucky next time though. I have beginner's luck-- whereas Martha actually has talent... :)
Either way, it was a very good game!
And a very good day...
So many things happened, I can't possibly write them all out! Or even remember!
I really should go start my homework though.
And finish my essay. It is due on Monday D:
