There are times he can almost remember … but not.
It scares him. Makes him feel lost and alone. Makes him feel crazy.
They won’t tell him what happened. They say it doesn’t work that way, say he has to remember on his own.
But he doesn’t. He doesn’t remember anything. He doesn’t even know why he’s here.
And they won’t tell him.
The pastor brought the boys to visit again. He thinks maybe they’re his sons, but he can’t remember.
