Friday The 13th.

Since it is Friday the 13th, I thought we could talk about movies that scare me. Like really scare me. Because some movies are a little suspenseful or have some good jump-fright moments, but finding a movie that actually settles inside me for awhile is hard to do.

6 Movies that scared me. )

ghosts say boo, movie blahblahblahing, vampires suck, scary shit that makes me shit, brainzzzz, the x-files - trust everyone, tv show blahblahblahing, acockalypse, eeeevilll, sister oh sister, the walking dead are coming!, the stand is my apocalypse

Well, they kind of ruined the end of Paranormal Activity in the trailer, to be honest. When the big payoff happened I was like, "Shit, I saw that in the trailer!" I enjoy movies where the suspense is what's making your heart beat a million miles an hour, and PA was definitely one of those movies. The special effects were also very well done for it being a low-budget film.

And I wasn't scared *during* the film as much as I was afterward, because that's when your mind starts going and you start thinking to yourself that this stuff can actually happen. My girlfriend and I went and we both had trouble sleeping, LOL! I think the main thing that scared me was that during the movie (no spoilers) all the events were happening around the doorway of the bedroom, where the couple kept their bedroom door open as they slept. I sleep with my door open too, and lying there at night staring into the darkened hallway through my open bedroom door scared the shit out of me!

What network is this School Spirits show on? I've never heard of it. We watch many of the ghost shows, mostly because my girlfriend and I like to see the "evidence" that's been caught on video. Supposedly.

I tried to talk my sister into Paranormal Activity again after this ocnversation with you and she still refuses. Apparently someone at work told her how she had seen the movie with her husband and then her husband woke up in the middle of the night screaming and jumped out of bed running around the house like screaming and checking random things for like two minutes until he finally took a deep breath and said, "Okay, I think I am awake now. I'm okay." My sister was like, "Yeah, so...I am not going to see that movie then."

School Spirits is on SyFy, Weds at 10 - HERE and I only have seen the one episode, so it may just be that was the most terrifing of all the episodes, but I was freaked out. Spoilers for that episode...This college dorm room was haunted and the thing kept saying the boy's name over and over and then he brought a friend in with him to try to talk to it. After awhile, he couldn't sleep and he was scared all the time and he had a priest come in. But that didn't work, so like he just started ignoring it and the 'thing' got mad and went into his friend's room and they found her later unconscious on the floor and all she remembered was this voice saying the boy's name over and over before she blacked out. I think it is scarier because it is supposedly real, you know. Freaked my shit out.

I meant to watch that School Spirits show because I saw a commercial for it during one of my other fave SyFy series, Destination Truth. I do hope you watch that one, because host Josh Gates is so hysterical, which you wouldn't expect for a paranormal-hunting series. The vignettes they show of him and the crew going into these foreign towns and stuff is my favorite part.

Anyway. I'll make sure my girlfriend and I watch it next week. She likes that stupid My Ghost Story series, where they give video "evidence" of dust and camera lens flares and say it's ghosts. Meh.

Anyway anyway, when I move and wind up coming to your house for a visit we'll watch Paranormal Activity!

I have never even heard of Destination Truth. This is the problem with Tivoing everything - I just fast-forward through the commercials and miss ads of things I may want to watch. I'l have to check that out!

I am going to try out another episode of School Spirits and see if it was a fluke that it was so scary or not.

Anyway anyway, when I move and wind up coming to your house for a visit we'll watch Paranormal Activity!

OH YEAH! I forgot about how close you will be when you move! Though, I hate to make you watch Paranormal Activity and then send you downstairs to sleep in the creepy basement...but too late, you already offered! (Idk if it is actually creepy or not down there at night, but after watching PA it will probably seem that way).
