That post I put up last week, that was a call to arms shout out by
wendy to get some action going on LJ again, had me thinking. I have certainly been better about posting the last month or so, since I've started feeling better. But sometimes I still miss entire weeks where I don't post at all. So I have decided, in an effort to get myself on LJ more

No, no, no! I say this a Cas-Girl and a Dean/Cas shipper and a Misha lover and a person who is basically only still watching the show because of Cas...Cas should NOT have his own show! That is not going to appease anyone. For one, I want to see Misha go off and use his talents for something outside of the CW, thank you very much. It's time for him to let the trenchcoat go, so to speak. Also, Cas is NOT a lead character! Can you honestly see him carrying a show? Really? Because I love the guy and I can't see it. Besides, how would you explain Cas going off and never having any contact with the boys again? He's their family and they don't have a lot left. There is no world in which Cas still exists that Dean and Sam would just cut him off, after everything they've been through together. Nope.
The problem isn't Cas, it's how they are using him. They should have made him human. They could have done it at any point. And once they did that, the other angels could have gone about their business and just been gone from the show, no longer needed now that Cas isn't one of them. (I agree, the angel business has gone on too long!). Last season would have been the perfect point to make Cas human. He was for a minute there and they should have kept him human because then it would have been...okay, here is this all powerful being suddenly dealing with human needs and impulses and being 'weak' and 'useless' at the same time that Dean, a human, is getting the power from the Mark of Cain and starting to lose his humanity. Parallels that would have gone FANTASTIC together and the season arc could have been the Mark of Cain and the angels could have just gone bye-bye.
Whew. Yeah, I have a lot of feelings about this. The show seems like it knows what it's doing and then they prove that, nope, they don't.
If he got a spin-off he would be off the show, yet being on (in a very distant way) and the Cas!fans would get to keep him, win-win.
I'M A CAS FAN! 8)
