Pig 'N A Post Day #1!

Jul 15, 2014 16:59

That post I put up last week, that was a call to arms shout out by wendy to get some action going on LJ again, had me thinking. I have certainly been better about posting the last month or so, since I've started feeling better. But sometimes I still miss entire weeks where I don't post at all. So I have decided, in an effort to get myself on LJ more, to make one day a week my official Must Post Day. That'll hopefully get me back in the habit and if not, well at least I'll have one day a week of posting. I've picked Tuesday, partially because it's a day I don't have PT and partially because I thought up a cool name for the challenge related to Tuesday.

Pig 'N A Post Day! From now on, every Tuesday on my LJ, it will be Pig 'N A Post Day. Where I will make a LJ post. Join me if you want! And now in honor of Pig 'N A Post Day #1, I will make a SPN-related post. A story in which I met a fangirl at therapy and the ensuing conversation.

Guy Therapist: There is this show on MTV I want to try, Finding Carter.
Me: Never heard of it. (cuz I hadn't yet)
GT: (to Teenage Girl doing workout nearby) Hey, you're a teenage girl. You watch MTV. You know this show I'm talking about?
Girl: I don't watch MTV.
Me: No? No Teen Wolf?
Girl: No. I stream TV on Netflix.
GT: Whaddya stream on Netflix?
Girl: Right now? Supernatural.
Me: Oh! Hi! Let's be friends!
Girl: Uh, hi.
Me: Now if you're watching Supernatural, are you still in early seasons or have you moved on to the later stuff?
Girl: I'm just about to the end of season five.
Me: Oh, that's the good stuff. But then it goes downhill after that. Just some advice, like, think about stopping after 5. 5 has a nice end to it.
Girl: My friend says Cas goes crazy later on.
Me: Yeah. Also, season 6 just makes no sense. It kind of ruined the show for me. But, so, if you're watching it on Netflix, you aren't getting all the good music. So much of Dean's classic rock was too expensive for them to get the streaming rights for. That's half the best stuff, man, the music.
Girl: Yeah, like when they got away from the FBI and then Renegade came on. That was awesome.
Me: Oh my god, best music cue in the history of television.
Girl: Totally.
GT: Wow. She's a classic rock fan. I did not expect that.
Me: Just cuz she's a teenage girl, man. You never know.
GT: (to Girl) I'm sorry.
Girl: Why?
GT: Because I put you in a box. And it wasn't the box you should be in and I shouldn't have put you there.
Me: See, teenage girl who doesn't watch Teen Wolf. But 36 year old woman who does.
GT: Well, yeah, but I know you. So that makes total sense.
Me: This is true.

And that is how my therapist learned a lesson about not putting people in boxes. Boxes are for cats, not people!

music blahblahblahing, poll/meme thingy, spn love, cats are squishy fun!, castiel - angel of rock, that's why they call it a workout, teen wolf - high school with werewolves, real life, fannish joy, lj stuffs, i was totally productive
