Since Canada Came Along!

So the visit with The Canadians went very well! They are better and better houseguests each time they stay. I have very few gripes and the main one was that I didn’t get to see enough of them! Also, they didn’t say what their plans were going to be, when just knowing when it was they intended to be at the house was all I needed, as it helps ( Read more... )

It was, indeed, a really great visit with my brother and his family. The kids warmed up to us all a lot faster this time too!

I think we are similar in I like to know what I'm doing before I have to do it

I do okay with last minute plans on a rare occasion, like someone calling me up and saying, "I'm in town, do you want to grab lunch?" because even in that situation, if I was having a high stress/anxiety day, I would say 'no'. With this visit with my brother, it was everyday, not knowing if they would be walking in the door in ten minutes or two hours - which meant I couldn't plan anything, not even like, "Catch up on Flist, read a chapter of my book, then they'll be home and I can play with the kids!" Which was all I really needed.

Your sis in law is right, watching shows with a fan girl around is just better.

Right?! Especially just ridiculous teen shows where I can be like, "That's his good friend's baby mamma but he's sleeping with her but he doesn't know that his ex-girlfriend is sleeping with the baby daddy guy and that his brother is babysitting the actually baby because he and his secret teen wife think they might be pregnant and they are 'practicing'. - Yes, all things that happened on One Tree Hill! Which is just fun to be explaining all that to someone who doesn't watch the show, especially when she thinks it is so funny!

The kids sound adorable.

They really are! It didn't used to bother me so much that they live so far away but after this visit I am like, "Dammit, no, I want them to come over and play with me today! Why do they live 14 hours away?"

My reply is so late. I've not been on my laptop in days because I've been too ill.

Wow I didn't know one tree hill was so complicated, secret teen wife?

Today I had to explain Hanibal to a friend, which was funny. "well this guy who eats people...."

Aww you must miss them a lot.

Oh no! With the flu or is it the health issues knocking you on your ass? I always worry when you aren't around for a little bit of time because I wonder if it is your health keeping you away.

One Tree Hill is so crazy and I swear I didn't even realize how crazy until I was trying to explain what was happening one day to my sister and it is just a mess of who is dating who and who is related to who, lol. Yep, two teenagers went to some state that lets 16 year olds get married without a parent and got secretly married and then kept it from most everybody for awhile. It was a big plotline! (secret teen spouses in my icon!)

lol Omg, that would be so messed up, also with the like, 'he is this guy's psychiatrist and then this guy is that guy's psychiatrist...' 8)

I do! And I just found out tonight that The Canadian Nephew was in the hospital yesterday with an infection that they think he got from drinking contaminated water. He is home now and doing better and they have him on antibiotics, but I don't like him sick and far away from my arms that want to hug him!

edit: stupid lj only posting half of my comment!

I went to a theme park, my body did not react well to it at all. I spent about five days hardly able to walk and throwing up. Sometimes my body really sucks. It's sweet of you to worry when I'm not around *hugs*

That sounds like it would have been pretty cool to watch.

Oh no, poor thing. That's awful for anyone, but I think it's worse to be sick like that when your a kid. I hope his parents spoil him rotten.
