Ben and Misha - oh, next time I promise I'll sandwich you in between them! Not a bad place to be, eh?

Jimmy Marsden - he's one of those guys that can go from being adorable to sexy in the snap of a finger. Plus, he is hysterical. His bits on the X2 special features/commentary are brilliant. (I think the striped pullover pic is my favorite too!) *g*_

I can't believe I missed this the first time around.

What am I talking about? The fact that you placed a link to the trailer for The Town. Wow. It does look fantastic. And I loved Gone, Baby, Gone.

When I first heard that Ben Affleck wanted to direct, my reaction was, Seriously? But you know what? He's a great director and Gone, Baby, Gone was one of the best directorial debuts I'd ever seen. (It was one of the best films of that year. Period.) So, yeah. I'm excited for The Town. Although, Ben is actually starring in the film as well. I'm not saying he's a bad actor. I just find him a tad . . . limited. But no matter. Jon Hamm is there. And so is Jeremy Renner. Ben's not tough on the eyes either. We'll survive, right?

Better go do something productive now.

P.S. James Marsden is under rated. You don't have to convince me of his awesomeness.

Ask me a million times who was my favorite character in Goodwill Hunting and I will always say the Ben Affleck character. Ask me how many times I watched Dazed and Confused before I realized it was Ben and I will say like a bazillion, that's one of my favoritest movies of like ever. Ask me what the best line is in Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back and I will say "No, no, no, cuz I didn't even have a hooker today!" Ask me my favorite Ben Affleck character and I will say "Bartleby". Ask me my favorite Ben Affleck movie and I think I gotta go with Jersey Girl. Ask me why I bothered with Gone Baby Gone and I'll say "Casey, guh, ngh" (because the idea of Ben directing was totally idiotic to me) and then ask me what I thought of Ben's directing debut and I will tell you, "holy fucking shit, dude, that movie!" Ask me my favorite moment in any Ben Affleck movie ever, ever and I will tell you, "the behind the scenes bit of Pearl Harbor where Ben and Josh re-enact the Animal Cracker scene from Armegeddon with Josh in the Liv Tyler role ( ... )

After the kind of week I've had, what better way to start my Saturday by talking about the Goober-of-Love? *g*

I don't feel anywhere near as strongly about Ben Affleck as you do, but I admit that my respect for him has come a long way. I really loved Good Will Hunting but that was more of a combination of Gus Van Sant plus Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. And I was ecstatically happy that the Harvard drop-outs (are they Harvard or Yale drop-outs?) won the Oscar.

At the time, I thought Matt Damon was the better actor (and yeah, I still do. Damon has proven his versatility) but Ben . . . well, Ben was good-looking and could write. Wasn't too sure about the acting though. I used to think that he and Keanu Reeves were having a race for the bottom of the barrel sweepstakes in Hollywood. *hides from the flying objects Dodger has hurled my way* As an aside, my views on Keanu have changed too.

Ask me my favorite Ben Affleck movie and I think I gotta go with Jersey Girl.I missed this, even though I'm a Kevin Smith fan. *hangs head in shame* ( ... )

Ben - I just get this warm squishy feeling inside whenever I see him - I want to squish his stupid face, I love him so. But I didn't realize how much I love him until I started having this conversation with you. Now I think my Ben-love might be a bit higher than I originally anticipated.

Matt - Matt Damon is by far the better actor. Personally, I adore Ben more, but Matt is def the better actor. Plus, Jason Bourne - remember when he decapitated Karl Urban that one time? Ah, good times. My sister and I always use Matt as the comparision of Jensen - what can Jensen do if he really wanted to after SPN? If he wanted, he could totally be the next Matt Damon - like, try for that level of a movie career.

As an aside, my views on Keanu have changed too. <-- Mine have not - if anything, I have lowered my views on him ( ... )

Hahaha! Yeah, it's true - Hugh & James are as perfect for each other as Wolverine and Cyclops - actually Wolverine and Cyclops are so boyfriends, but they aren't actually perfect for each other - James and Hugh on the other hand, totally made for each other. They need to be doing a musical movie together like right now!

Dude. This comment made me so happy. Because I know writers that when I am in the mood for a certain type of fic, I just go to their LJ and scroll around. But I didn't think people just came to my LJ and looked for my fic. How sweet ( ... )
