Was going through my inbox and discovered messages that I didn't even know existed, for love of not being informed via mail as normal that I had a new message (thanks LJ) underneath news posts and birthday reminder spam. In the process of deleting a news post, somehow pressing the 'next' button to get to the third page of my messages wiped my inbox entirely (thanks LJ), so I lost some stuff that I noticed to be semi-important before I could even read it. Sigh.
I love livejournal. I do. I've been here for such a long time and this journal means a lot to me. But this is silly.
To add to that, I haven't added any new friends in a few years and of what used to be a really active amount of awesome people... has dwindled to very far and few between updates. I have a dreamwidth now, also, but I haven't touched it much as of yet since I can't remember who has moved there and who has not.
I love LJ, but the site is completely messed up.
I love LJ, but I think its flooded with too much garbage features clogging up the interface that no one cares about.
I love LJ, but the ads are freaking ridiculous for non-paid accounts; they refresh like every 15 seconds and with all the issues, they often break the pages that'd already took too long to load.
I love LJ, but it isn't worth paying for (I'd give the money to dreamwidth, but as there aren't enough people there/communities seem stagnant, it'd be a waste at this time).
I love LJ, but I'M PRETTY MUCH PISSED ABOUT MY INBOX.
I love LJ, but no one is here anymore.
I'd really like to know where everyone went off to.
I'm also in a debate about what to do writing-wise. I don't think I have it in me to write a novel (if I ever will, who knows; it'd be more fun to become someone completely amazing and then write a memoir in my old age, haha), yet I'd like to do something a lot more substantial than fill my harddrive with new files of brain-vomit.
