Forgot to mention in connection with yesterday's weather report: in the morning, two of the brightest, clearest sundogs I've ever seen, in rainbow colors. I tried to take a picture of one on my cell phone through the dirty windshield but, as you might hazard a guess, it didn't do it justice.

In the evening, a pink sun pillar.

On January 5 and 6, Syracuse recorded a high temperature of 62 Fahrenheit. This after the warmest December on record. It's been colder since then, but as recently as the 13th the high was 51.
