Well that was maddening and somewhat unsatisfying.

When the Doctor said he told River his name, I gather he means he told her his true name, the name he was called before he was known as the Doctor. Oh how I wish we could have heard what River whispered in his ear now that we know she most likely told him his name. I also wonder what the Doctor

One possibility I haven't seen kicked around much is that we might find out in the finale! His name burns in the Medusa Cascade...

See, my far-flung idea is that if he fessed up to his real name, that'd mean he was on good-races with the Time Lords again. So the "one time he could" and look of shock isn't due to how he'd only tell his sweetie, but instead that somehow the Time Lord Council will be reinstated.

Mind, even if that's (somehow absurdly) correct, it's still awfully moot since this 10th regeneration was "the early years" so it wouldn't come up until, oh.. 30th regeneration (presuming Early/Middle/Later) or so? Which is far enough ahead that it really doesn't apply either way.

INDY: Junior?! Dad...

SALLAH: Please...What does it always mean, this...this "Junior?"

HENRY: That's his name. Henry Jones, Junior.

INDY: I like Indiana.

HENRY: We named the dog Indiana.

BRODY: May we go home now, please?

SALLAH (to INDY): The dog!? (laughs) You are named after the dog...

INDY (embarrassed): I've got a lot of fond memories of that dog.

I had always thought it was unpronouncable , too. I don't know where I get that from, couldn't quote an episode or anything. I was kind of disappointed she was able to say it.

sounds right on, but i hope not!!! the doc never gets married and has never had "sexual feelings" for anyone or anything in the whole entire series.. i'd like it to stay that way..
