Well that was maddening and somewhat unsatisfying.
When the Doctor said he told River his name, I gather he means he told her his true name, the name he was called before he was known as the Doctor. Oh how I wish we could have heard what River whispered in his ear now that we know she most likely told him his name. I also wonder what the Doctor means when he says this:
"River, you know my name. You whispered my name in my ear. There's only one reason I would ever tell anyone my name, there's only one time I could."
Man I want to know what that means exactly.
