end of week nine

Driving home at the end of week nine, I found it hard to believe that it's more than half over, this adventure of student teaching. May 6th, just a few short weeks away looms ever closer.

The weaning starts April 15th, when Amy takes over grading speeches. The next weeks are going to fly by.

Did a sort of dumb thing today, although it will have the desired effect. Every day around 12, an ignorant student coming back from lunch pounds on the window in the corner of the classroom. Today I sent one of my guys out there merely to find out who the kid is, so we could take appropriate steps to have it stop. What I stupidly didn't expect (and I said stupidly, cuz this kid would do this) was for TK to tackle the kid and cause a small rukus in the hall. However, the desired effect was obtained, because the perpetrator of the mischief (the consistent pounding on the window, thus distrubing class) was sent to security and is in a pile of trouble.

Am I in trouble? No..just got told by Amy not to send a goon on vigilante mission again. There are better people to make something like that go away. Yep, I'm still a student teacher and I still have things to learn.

so, the adventure continues, 5 more weeks to go. Where has the time gone?

---it has disappeared in massive amounts of documents on my laptop.
--in has disappeared in massive amounts of papers kept and papers thrown away.
--it has disappeared in time spent and in time not spent.
--it has disappeared in songs that have become my themes and mantras.
--it has disappeared in new goals formed and old images put to rest.
and--- it has disappeared in the wonderful realization that I have finally found not just what I do, but what I am.

That is the best part of all.
