Exactly this. Everyone seems to love the new companion so much that I feel a bit bad that I didn't. So far she seems really similar to Amy (albeit without the magical destiny) - Moffat's ideal woman all over again.

No, she does though, and I can see why people find the character appealing, because it's an appealing character - the clever, cute, flirty, feisty girl. But it's SO REPETITIVE, BLAHHHH why can't we do something new, whyyyyyy
