[Looking a little shame-faced, the Doctor begins a new video recording.]

I'd like to apologize to everyone for my absence - particularly the infirmary staff. It wasn't my intention to just disappear like I did.

I know that it played some role in his deterioration. The more frustrated he became, the less he wished to perform them. It became a perpetual cycle.

At the time, he was controlling my emotions so most of what I could feel was displeasure. In retrospect it bothers me more.

Regardless, I do believe we should form that back-up for you. I have been using my automated pet as a storage device for my own conciousness should an emergency arise. There is ample room for your own programming.

Hm. [Sort of a pleasantly surprised noise, since for some reason Level 2 Cabin 2 is a good sort of amusing to him.

He collects his tool kit and his tin dog under one arm, before heading out and up to the second level. Despite the previous conversation, he's actually glad to know his friend is active as he knocks on the door.]
