Newsflash: I AM NOT A NICE DOCTOR!

Nov 29, 2005 22:52

I'm not! I'm really not!

I hate her.
I hate her. I hate lying, backstabbing, evil sons of bitches.

If for one fucking second they think that they can get away with this, there are going to be some very, very mistaken doctors at this hospital.

Cut for spoilers for tonight's epsiode, 2.08 - 'The Mistake'. )

Ah the joys of hospital bureaucracy.

If I may inquire, just what occured to cause the board review to begin with?

Our Chief of Staff has been known to call for boards of inquiry out of petiness herself.

One of the members of my team made a mistake. Which snowballed into lots of other mistakes. Which led to us being sued, so they called him in, and since I'm his supervisor, I was called in as well.

For the last five minutes. Chase was cleared, just given a week of suspension and a letter in his file, while they decided that I have bad conduct and need to be supervised for at least a month by another doctor.

I could deal with that. But then our Chief of Staff decided to make that doctor the one member of my fellowship who clashes with me the most.

[ooc: I love this muse. To bits. I stalk him all the time, just wanted to say. :)]

That's...unfortunate.

My staff, for the most part is competant enough that I seldom worry about such infractions myself, however our ER staff (with few exceptions) tends to leave much desired. I do empathised with you on that account.

OOC: Yay! I love Dubenko muse as well...except for when he's a pain in my ass. :) I sadly have never seen House, but your writing is always entertaining and Frankly, Dr. Hair needs more supervisory level docs to converse with.

I'm probably just going to annoy the living hell out of anyone who wants to get on my case about it. I'll lay low...but I will get even.

It was understandable. Normally I can trust him enough not to, but his father had just passed away. Lung cancer, stage 4. There were migtigating factors involved.

[ooc: Yes. They're a rare breed, they must band together! *G*]

Passive aggressive behavior *can* be rather rewarding at times.

I sympathize with your colleague, I'm all to aware of what the loss of a loved one can do to your concentration or lack thereof.

I pride myself on the many ingenious ways I think up to piss people off.

It was all bad timing. He hadn't known his father was sick, and while I did, I didn't let on that I knew he'd passed away either. He's...a good kid. *pauses* You work with Sam...Taggart, right?

That I do. Samantha and I are good friends.

As for pissing people off, I seem to have that innate ability. No need to try, it just happens. My better half insists that it's my arrogance and lack of inter-personsal communication skills, I however, don't see it.

So I take it you can appreciate nurses for what they give us doctors?

Ahh, see, mine comes from the fact that I'm just a mean son of a bitch. Then again, I think it's requisite that cripple have to be cranky. I wouldn't want to break the stereotype.

That I do. As I told Sam, my job would be far more difficult without the nurses I work with. I keep trying to get her to come back to surgery but for some odd reason she can't drag herself away from those ER docs.
