Let me get the serious business stuff out of the way first:

From now on, we are not going to allow any tabloid/gossip articles about the cast or crew's private lives, and we are not allowing any paparazzi photos that could be seen as creepy or an invasion of privacy.
This does not mean all paparazzi photos.  Some, like pictures of the cast and crew ( Read more... )

It's not an empire, it's a commune.

We're just a bunch of hippies in the woods, living in harmony with the birds and the little foxes. Until we're eaten by bears, but eh, what a way to go!

Considering that where I live there are bears... that is a frightening prospect...!

I don't even know if there are bears where I live. I asked my dad a few years ago if there were bears near us, and he said that there are, but I've never heard about them being here. Tons of mountain lions that sneak into the suburbs and cause a hullabaloo, though.

Yeesh, mountain lions! Have you ever heard one yowl? Pretty frightening, isn't it?

I haven't had any run-ins with mountain lions thankfully, but I used to go to a family friend's place in the country when I was a child, and woke up many nights to hear coyotes howling up a storm. It probably wouldn't bother me now, but I was so terrified at the time.

Oh I can imagine! The sound of coyotes howling as a pack still makes the hair on my neck stand on end. Here, we don't get many coyotes howling, but I have seen them. I mostly heard them on the otherside of the mountains while we were out dunebugging. Cougars actually scare me, but not nearly as much as bears.

The worst you would get here would probrably be a crow.
My neighborhood feels so plain in comparison.

lol we've got plenty of crows here too! One afternoon I swear I saw a cougar down our street. We're not in the forest, but our area did used to be forest. And with all the development the animals are wandering everywhere. It's not uncommon for a black bear to find itself in the Bellevue area and a few months back we had a black bear wandering about a city further than us to the west.

First I went :O and then I went D: and then I went XD. That poor animal got frightened away by a Dalek.

There's this tree outside of my house where a crows nest used to be, and it attacked everyone, and I mean everyone if they walked past. Of course it's not as interesting as a bear or a mountain lion, lack of biodiversity in our country methinks, but pretty damn terrifying to feel a giant bird attacking your face.

Trust me, if I had a giant bird attacking my face, I would not think that it was anything less than the presence of cougars or bears. Crows can be very dangerous, and as they are scavengers, the diseases they carry is staggering to the imagination. I'd be terrified of getting attacked by any sort of bird, especially since I adore the little creatures ( ... )

I love birds too, hence my strange username haha.
Better safe than sorry I say, It would be horrible for anyone to be attacked by a bird, actually any animal for that matter, but they're in the wild, so they can be unpredictable so it's best to take some safety precautions.
Thinking about it reminds me of a woman who appeared on Oprah, and she told her story about getting attacked by a chimpanzee. Her injuries were so horrible I was just going D: for the entire episode.

I like how you happened to have your Dalek with you.

lol well, I really like doing story pictures of my toys and I also love nature, so whenever my dad and I go to these parks, I like to bring along a few of my Daleks just to show off in the area. They're quite photogenic, actually, and if you find some really good locations they can look quite striking. :D
