Let me get the serious business stuff out of the way first:

From now on, we are not going to allow any tabloid/gossip articles about the cast or crew's private lives, and we are not allowing any paparazzi photos that could be seen as creepy or an invasion of privacy.
This does not mean all paparazzi photos.  Some, like pictures of the cast and crew ( Read more... )

lol we've got plenty of crows here too! One afternoon I swear I saw a cougar down our street. We're not in the forest, but our area did used to be forest. And with all the development the animals are wandering everywhere. It's not uncommon for a black bear to find itself in the Bellevue area and a few months back we had a black bear wandering about a city further than us to the west.

That was the paw print my dad and I came across a few weeks ago when we were in Verlot, checking out the snow. Our home is only about 20mins west of that place, and even on the trail, which is only about a mile and a half away, there are black bear signs.

First I went :O and then I went D: and then I went XD. That poor animal got frightened away by a Dalek.

There's this tree outside of my house where a crows nest used to be, and it attacked everyone, and I mean everyone if they walked past. Of course it's not as interesting as a bear or a mountain lion, lack of biodiversity in our country methinks, but pretty damn terrifying to feel a giant bird attacking your face.

Trust me, if I had a giant bird attacking my face, I would not think that it was anything less than the presence of cougars or bears. Crows can be very dangerous, and as they are scavengers, the diseases they carry is staggering to the imagination. I'd be terrified of getting attacked by any sort of bird, especially since I adore the little creatures.

And don't worry, Flak VII was actually nervous of the bear and quickly retreated to me. Apparently, I am indestructable when it comes to a bear... the only brave one in the little trio I took down to that river was actually my small Dalek, Gemini, who is in my icon. He just exclaimed loudly, "Exterminate!"

Needless to say, if we can take my grandma down to Verlot for Mother's Day, my bro is taking his gun... I mean, it's not going to do anything to a black bear, but certainly scare it off and alert the rangers that are close by. One good piece of news is that there hasn't been any bear attacks in recent years. ... I am really tempted to put a bear into a Doctor Who fic now... just to see how the Doctor would react to one...

I love birds too, hence my strange username haha.
Better safe than sorry I say, It would be horrible for anyone to be attacked by a bird, actually any animal for that matter, but they're in the wild, so they can be unpredictable so it's best to take some safety precautions.
Thinking about it reminds me of a woman who appeared on Oprah, and she told her story about getting attacked by a chimpanzee. Her injuries were so horrible I was just going D: for the entire episode.

I like how you happened to have your Dalek with you.

lol well, I really like doing story pictures of my toys and I also love nature, so whenever my dad and I go to these parks, I like to bring along a few of my Daleks just to show off in the area. They're quite photogenic, actually, and if you find some really good locations they can look quite striking. :D
