Serious/news/digest comm?
I've been looking at our calendar and I've noticed that since 2010 started, there have been at least two posts every single day. On some days, there were nearly 20 posts and we're averaging about 5-7 posts per day currently, which means we're eating a lot of people's friend pages, including my own.
As a result, I want to start a news/digest comm for members who can't really keep up with the flist spam.
Here's what I'm thinking:
--Only news would be posted in this comm, so that means no fanfic, icons, etc. but it would still have discussions on news articles and set photos/set reports.
--It'll be a more serious comm, no silliness in the discussions like there is here. (Believe it or not, there are those who would like to take their news without the shenanigans, and that's...difficult to get here.)
--It'll have a daily digest of posts from here and I'll try my best to collect other articles and LJ posts as well, a bit like who_daily, but focused on S5/Matt/Karen/Moffat/etc.
Feedback on this is appreciated. Love it/hate it? Do you have suggestions for me on this? Are you interested in co-modding a comm like this? Suggestions for a name? Something I didn't mention?
