yeah, yeah...get over it

Yeah, I know it's been over a month since I updated, but you're going to have to deal with the fact that I've been busy. Camp has gone on quite well this summer. At least I'm not getting yelled at every week like I was last year. I've only had one staff problem this year, though it has lasted all yaer. I've been working program less and supervising more this year. For a few weeks, I spent the entire afternoon each day sitting in the blockhouse watching my staff (both archery and BBs) working. I only wish I had the freedom to do that last week and this week, but I was down to 8 people - including myself - to run both ranges, where I need 12-14, and I only have two more back this week, and I have staff evaluations and an end-of-the-year report to do this week. Oh, and two weeks or so after tour, the blockhouse was broken into. They stole 20 of our 28 bows, a BB gun, a bunch of arrows (many of which damaged but easily repaired), and a bunch of BBs. And then it looks like they tried to torch the building. The first Friday I was back, Margaret called and wanted to do something that night, since she'd spent the day with Adam. (See, the drama I mentioned that I was experiencing on tour was her telling me that she was having second thoughts about having broken up with me and flirting with me, and all the while I had to room with her boyfriend Adam.) So, since I didn't get off until 11, she came out for dinner and campfire. Since then, she's been there every Friday and we've been spending a lot of time together. And today marks our one month anniversary. :-) I was finally able the week before last to burn the ammo I got before tour. Worked the Dome on Saturday for the Drum Corps International competition, which made for a 14 hour day, and then up for church Sunday morning. Today was mom's b-day and Saturday was Shirley's b/f Gary's b-day, so we all went to Olive Garden for lunch to celebrate both. My parents got a new camper last week, so I had to help them move out of the pop-up Tuesday and into the new one (or at least see it) on Thursday. Since they had Thursday and Friday off, I had the house to myself for a long weekend. This being the last week of camp, I'll be busy at work, and have to work Saturday to clean up everything we took two weeks setting up three months ago. Then it's back to Carr Metal on Monday to make some real money, and hopefully get Shawn a job there as well. Oh yeah, the same day the blockhouse was broken into, Shawn got laid off from his real job, so he's been out at Belzer all day every day since then. And, while the drama at church is subsiding some, I've gotten to the point where I don't even want to see two or three certain people. There's things about the whole situation that amuse me greatly, but I'm not going to spread that here. I just hope they wake up and see what's happening soon. Finally wrote my long letter of complaint about the one thing that greatly disturbed me about tour and sent it out last week. Hopefully it won't happen again, because I'm afraid I'm going to have to take more drastic measures if I see it again. Complications regarding payment for last semester and registration for this semester continue, though last semester has now been paid and as soon as I can register for this semester (the current problem), I'll have a loan for the balance, and the VA should pay for this semester since they didn't pay last semester. And now, after trying too many times, I'm going to wrap this up. I believe this is all the highlights of the last month or so of my life, though I can't be sure, as I've slept a little here and there. It shouldn't be another whole month before I update again, but don't hold your breath. Later y'all!
