Anyone who knows me knows that by no means to I listen to "emo" music or go out of my way to defend the "emo"... lifestyle? Whatever you want to call it. But this has been bugging me for a while, and it really hit a pretty bad point a minute ago.

I saw a video in which the two men pictured above go around and pretend to beat up fake emo kids. Now, what really gets me is this. When your hair looks like that, what right do you have to make fun of anyone? Seriously, he makes a comment about emo kids' ridiculous swoopy "anime-style" hair. Dude, you've got like... a flying v mohawk with bright red tips. That's beyond ridiculous that even in an anime, it'd be a bit much.

Besides that, the whole "I hate emo kids" thing is so friggin over done. Yeah, wow, ok, it's kinda lame. But seriously, it tends to be more of a high school thing (occasionally extends later, but still) and how many of us can claim we weren't a little lame back in high school, if not incredibly so?

What's especially funny is when older guys make fun of it. Guys that were teens in the 80's. 'Cause once they open their mouths saying, "Yeah, they've got stupid hair and wear girl's pants," all I can think is, "And you stole your sister's hairspray back in high school and thought Freddie Mercury was straight, didn't you?"

I'm too tired to continue arguing my point with any sort of intelligence. So I'll leave it at this. It's old, shut the fuck up.
