Back from Rome!
rosemary_sweet and I got back from Rome today - we had a fantastic time :) It was red hot most of the time, and we mainly explored Rome by running from shadow to shadow to avoid being burnt to a cinder. Some places we visited:
* The Colosseum (albeit only the outside as we were slightly too late)
* The Fountain of Trevi (pretty!)
* The Sistine Chapel (huge!)
* St. Peter's Basilica (saw the tomb of JP2 as well as plenty of other ex-popes)
* The Roman Forum (hard to find the entrance to)
* The Pantheon (gorgeous!)
* Lots of other places that were big on our tourist map even if we weren't quite sure what they were :D
There were also protests going on in the centre of Rome against the lack of jobs, from what we could gather.
There may be some pictures later, but now I have everything in the world to sort out for this evening.
